What do batteries look like when they explode in slow motion...?

We had no idea so did an experiment to find out.

Do not try this at home as they create toxic fumes. Huge thanks to my partners in crime Natalia, Philipa, Stephanie, Terry, Lisa, Nick, Richard and all the scientists involved - we shot awesome slow-motion footage on the Phantom camera at something like 25,000 frames a second and aim to make a science paper out of this as well - nice one gang X
